Life is too short to do one thing or be boring.
Hi, I’m Edie. And I am a proud mom and grandmother (a young one, thank you very much!) with a funky, playful and eclectic sense of taste.
I started In Good Taste to share my quirky creations so that you can show off your fun, offbeat side, too – just without all the hard work. (Leave that part to me.)
All my life, I’ve been a bit of a contradiction. (I like to think of it as being fun and memorable.) As a child, my home was always full of travelers and foreign exchange students, which meant lots of curious cuisine. And I grew up loving classical music AND Jethro Tull...and the Beatles, the Supremes and even Argentinian religious works. Weird, I know.
I have also owned a restaurant, written cookbooks, renovated homes, owned a gourmet gift store, developed my own line of jewelry, and have been making the things I wanted but could never find since I was in my early 20s.
All of these things have influenced my sense of style, my sense of design and, of course, my sense of taste. And whether purposeful or not, I bring these influences into everything I make -- be it jewelry, aprons, food, decoupage and more…way, way more.
What I make may change with the wind or the season (so check back often for my latest creations). However, my sense of taste doesn’t. And I’m here to help us all, me included, to be as much of an individual as possible. Because, really, being anything else is just too boring, right?
